Today we have Stephanie and Harmony from The Salt Project guest posting here today to share with you one of their recent adventures. Take it away, ladies!

Hello!  We are from The Salt Project, which is all about things to do in Utah!  We love Utah and want everyone to know about it.  On one of our recent adventures we headed to the lovely Rocky Mountains.  We’ve been up Farmington Canyon multiple times but we had no idea that Farmington Canyon connected to Bountiful Canyon.  It’s a lovely 27 miles along the peaks of Davis County.  We found campsites and lots of fun dirt side roads. The autumn leaves were so lovely.

Bountiful Peak was just stunning.  Luckily, there was a nice little pull-off to enjoy the view, plus some nice flat rocks to sit on.  We packed a lunch, so we had a little picnic out of the car.  If I had known there would be flat ground, I’d have brought a blanket.

untitledMy little Aiko loved being able to run around.

You can start in Farmington Canyon, or head up to Ward Canyon Road in Bountiful.  You can start in either city.  Be sure to pack some food and drinks, it’s almost a two hour drive.  Surprisingly, there was quite a bit of traffic, for being a canyon road. There were plenty of 4-wheelers and some cars without 4-wheel drive.  It’s a spectacular drive and a wonderful way to view the Great Salt Lake.

Thank you girls! It looks like a lot of fun and those views are amazing! I’m thinking that heading up for a dinner picnic and watching the sunset would be awesome. The weather is starting to turn colder, but we might have a few more weeks where the canyon could be nice. Once the snow comes, I’ll be dreaming of adventures, picnics, and exploring in the spring and summer to come!

Don’t stop here! We have so many other adventures to show you! I’m posting over at Coupons4Utah about a magical little adventure that I promise you don’t want to miss and make sure you check out what 13 other bloggers are doing out and about in Utah.
